How did the success story of GRIESHABER Logistik begin? Since its foundation in 1951 in Rotzel in the district of Säckingen, it has been characterized by steady growth, a spirit of innovation and a strong customer focus.
From humble beginnings as a local transport company, we have continued to develop. Today, we are proud to be an international forwarding and logistics company with locations throughout Germany and Slovenia.
Our successes are based on decisive milestones: from our own large fleet of vehicles to the expansion of our infrastructure and the development of customized transport and logistics solutions for our customers. Based on these changes, our commitment to excellent service and our corporate values remains constant.

New location in Cologne (Pulheim) with 13,000 square metres of logistics space. Opening of the newly built transshipment hall in Weingarten. Delivery of the first two electric lorries.

New location in Hamburg with sea freight expertise.

Reorganisation of the Supervisory Board and Board of Trustees.

New location in Düsseldorf: air freight team. Expansion of the head office and construction of a new administration building.

Heinrich Grieshaber, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, long-time owner, board member and Managing Director, passes away on 29 March 2020 at the age of 71.

2018
New management, Heinrich Grieshaber joins the Supervisory Board.

2015
Merger of H.D. Reinhold GmbH & Co. KG with GRIESHABER Logistik GmbH.

2014
Establishment of the Heinrich and Gabriele Grieshaber Foundation and the Grieshaber Corporate Foundation, change of legal form from AG to GmbH and transfer of shares to the newly established foundations.

2013
Joint venture with the creation of GR Logistik GmbH to optimise distribution solutions for the tyre industry.

2013
GRIESHABER Logistics Park Ravensburg becomes the largest contiguous logistics park in the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia region upon acquiring 60,000 additional square metres of space.

2011
Inauguration of a modern freight and administration building in Weingarten.

2010
Acquisition of the H.D. Reinhold freight company with locations in Mettmann and Singen.

2008
Commissioning of an international packaging centre for overseas packaging.

2007
Creation of GRIESHABER Logistics Park Ravensburg GmbH and acquisition of an industrial site with a large outdoor area, classic pallet racking and a special warehouse for pharmaceutical products. Creation of the affiliate in Poland.

2005
Major investments: Construction of the new Kerpen location.

2005
Creation of GRIESHABER Logistika d.o.o, and construction of a new logistics centre in Slovenia.

2005
Grieshaber AG is split up as part of a demerger. Heinrich Grieshaber takes over Grieshaber Logistik AG, based in Weingarten, and Kurt Grieshaber takes over Grieshaber Logistics Group AG, based in Bad Säckingen.

2000
Change of legal form (from GmbH & Co. KG to a public limited company). Intensive expansion of logistics expertise, in particular in the areas of small parts and pharmaceutical logistics, as well as international transport/projects.

1990s
Key decisions and strengthening of international presence. Establishment of locations in Cologne and Kerpen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Investments in infrastructure, networks and acquisitions. Launch of contract logistics.

1980s
The company focuses on a comprehensive logistics approach. Launch of combined road-rail transport with the purchase of 24 modern swap bodies. Establishment of another company for residential and commercial property. By now, GRIESHABER already has 48 licences, making it one of the top 50 transport companies in Germany. Heinrich Grieshaber Sr. passes away, and his sons Kurt and Heinrich take over the reins of the company.

1970s
Acquisition of a freight company in Weingarten, Germany. Heinrich Grieshaber Jr. expands the company’s management team, sparking dynamic development via the creation of new services. The vehicle fleet and catchment area also continue to grow.

1960s
Kurt Grieshaber joins his parents’ company. Expansion of the freight company, in particular thanks to new long-distance haulage licences and company acquisitions.

1955
Acquisition of the first new MAN lorry with 135 HP. Heinrich sets up his freight company in southern Germany. Hard work, determination and reliability are the keys to success.

1951
Heinrich Grieshaber Sr. launches his first regional transport operations with a lorry he assembled himself. The spare parts came from used vehicles – some of which were used in the war – including the Daimler-Benz (right) with 120 HP and the Büssing NAG lorry with 105 HP.
