Youth welfare and education – A matter dear to the heart
Mr. and Mrs. Grieshaber (Heinrich and Gabriele) have always placed great importance on the welfare and education of children and adolescents. In 2014, they decided to establish a foundation that would allow them to provide long-term support for youth welfare and education. Their charitable foundation is especially active in the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia region, as well as at GRIESHABER Logistik’s other locations.

A wealth of ideas, a thirst for knowledge
Pupils from southern Württemberg who are interested in STEM subjects can research, experiment and study at the Bad Saulgau School Learning Centre, where they are accompanied by teachers.
The Gabriele and Heinrich Grieshaber Foundation has been supporting the school learning centre for several years now, thereby encouraging students to innovate and explore their curiosity.

Outstanding, progressive, innovative
Education at the highest level - the Gabriele and Heinrich Grieshaber Foundation also supports this. Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral theses require a great deal of commitment, work and knowledge. Our foundation recognizes this commitment and supports outstanding research work by awarding the biennial science prize for the best doctoral thesis in the field of economics and industrial engineering with a focus on entrepreneurship, corporate management, supply chain management, transformation and sustainability at the HTWG Konstanz.
The Grieshaber Foundation supports outstanding research. Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD theses require dedication. This commitment is honored with an award for the best research work.
Support for the Nessenreben public pool
For children and families, in particular, public pools are an excellent way to relax and have fun in the neighbourhood while mingling with friends, family and the entire community. Learning how to swim (and swimming regularly) is important to the development of children. Every summer, the Nessenreben public pool helps contribute to this development.
The Gabriele and Heinrich Grieshaber Foundation is committed to helping the Nessenreben public pool in Weingarten stay open for many years to come, and thereby allow young people to experience a sense of belonging and learn important life skills for the future.

Support from the first months of life

Early support is crucial. The Liebenau Foundation helps children up to 6 years with therapies. The Grieshaber Foundation funds special therapy and play equipment.

A person’s childhood has a major influence on their possibilities and opportunities in life. Depending on their life situation, children are unable to seize certain educational opportunities or participate in leisure activities that allow them to make friends and gain valuable life experience. We’re committed to ensuring that all children – regardless of their life situation, origin or religion – get the chance to experience the best possible development and education.
We’re committed to education
Education is a valuable asset that opens many doors. Young people must be granted access to the best possible education (school, vocational training, university, etc.) in order to pursue their life goals. In addition, they must be provided with appropriate validation for their commitment and the time they invest in their education. As a result, we support extracurricular educational opportunities that instil knowledge in young people, allow them to gain experience and help them grow, and honour outstanding final theses submitted by students.

Our Chairwoman on the background of the foundation
Gabriele Grieshaber is Founder and Chairwoman of the Gabriele and Heinrich Grieshaber Foundation. She created the foundation with her husband Heinrich Grieshaber. “We’re extremely grateful for what we have. We invested a lot of time and energy to get it, and wanted to find a way to pass it on. We thought of all the children and adolescents in our society who have it hard and who need assistance. We recognised that we were in a position to help young people by giving them a chance in life. This was our motivation for creating the Gabriele and Heinrich Grieshaber Foundation. We wanted to support disadvantaged young people and give something back to the community.”
