Status of Compatibility with Accessibility Requirements

This website is not fully compliant with the accessibility requirements that apply to us. Specifically:

Non-compliance with Accessibility Legislation

The following content is not compliant with the relevant legal accessibility provisions:
  • Some images and icons currently lack meaningful alternative text, which may impair use by screen reader users.
  • Keyboard navigation is restricted in several areas, such as dropdown menus, form fields, and fixed controls.
  • Focus indicators are not consistently visible, making navigation more difficult for users relying on keyboards or screen readers.
  • Hover-based menus are sometimes unstable or hard to operate. Closing such menus using the Escape key is currently not possible.
  • The color contrasts of individual buttons and text elements (e.g., cookie banners, header buttons) do not yet fully meet the recommended minimum values.
  • The technical structure (HTML and ARIA) is not fully semantically correct in some areas. This particularly affects the labeling of navigation areas and forms.

Evaluation Method

The review was conducted manually in accordance with WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 guidelines at conformance level AA, supplemented by selected AAA criteria.
In addition, Google Lighthouse was used to support the automated analysis.
The test procedures and their results are documented in tabular form in the audit report. The methodology included:
  • Visual inspection and mouse/keyboard testing
  • Code analysis (HTML, ARIA, semantics)
  • Contrast and zoom tests
  • Mobile usage tests

Further Measures to Improve Accessibility

We are continuously working to improve access to our website. Currently, we are doing the following:
GRIESHABER Logistik GmbH plans a step-by-step implementation of the required criteria based on the audit findings. The definition of measures is in progress; initial steps (including the publication of this accessibility statement and optimization of contrast and focus elements) will begin shortly.
Further measures to enhance alternative usability — especially regarding screen reader compatibility and full keyboard operability — are planned as part of a second implementation phase. These improvements will be gradually implemented as part of an ongoing optimization process.
