The town is called the “Energy Capital of Germany”. Anyone who has been there knows exactly why. But the most productive production plant for snack foods is also located here.
Since the 1960s, Grevenbroich has grown continuously to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Whereby the driving force, in a most literal sense, has been the three power stations – because Europe’s largest continuous storage site for lignite is located in Grevenbroich. In addition to the energy sector, the food and aluminium industries form the town’s economic backbone.
GRIESHABER Logistik GmbH runs two large logistics centres in Grevenbroich for the market leader in snack articles, with a total capacity of more than 30,000 pallet storage spaces. At peak times more than 190 transport units are processed daily in shift operation.
Our local team has received excellent training in the disciplines of customer orientation, IFS Food Logistic, AIB, and food defence. The fulfilment level in the relevant IFS Food Audit is almost 98 per cent. The performance is correspondingly good.
